Hephaestus (known in Roman as Vulcan) is the peg-legged werefish god of the and fire and the gods' blacksmith. He is the son of Zeus and Hera and is engaged to Aphrodite and hates it if Hades flirts with her. He creates Zeus's thunderbolts and spends most of his free time in his forge.

He is on the Olympian Council and makes an appearence in "The Apollo Mission" where he casts his vote to Hades out of Zeus and Hades to see who becomes King of the Gods, "The Pool Party" where he goes to Hades's party (actually a scheme to become King of the Gods) and forgets who he is. He appears later trying to break open the locked gate of Olympus. He is also Hercules' brother.
