Disney's Hercules Wiki

Hydros (known in Roman as Aqua, Norse as Vatn, Egyptian as Mu and Arabian as Ma) is the serpentine god of primordial waters, one of the five fictional Titans that Hades sets free and the younger cousin of the Hydra in the film Hercules. His back is slightly hunched and he is made entirely of ice. While being made of ice, he can freeze things by touching them with any part of his body or even breathing on things.

Hercules[]

Hydros is defeated when Hercules uses Stratos to suck up Hydros and the other two Titans; Lythos & Pyros and then flings him and the other three towards outer space into constellations.

Kingdom Hearts[]

A resurrected Hydros appears in the Olympus Colosseum as an optional boss after Sora completes the Hades Cup. He mainly attacks with ice shards that must be deflected in order to stun him.

Trivia[]

His name refers to the greek word "hydros", which means "water".

The four main titans in Hercules were not inspired by Greek mythology, but by the role-playing video game Ultima 8: Pagan (1994). In particular, Disney's Hydros is based on Ultima's Hydros, titan of Water.
