Pyros (known in Roman as Ignis, Norse as Eldr, Egyptian as Sedjet and Arabian as Nar) is the god of primordial fires, one the five fictional Titans that Hades sets free and the younger cousin of the Pyra in Hercules. He is a hunchback, made entirely of lava and has yellow eyes and a yellow mouth. While being made of lava, he can melt things with any part of his body. He can also belch lava from his mouth.
Pyros is defeated when Hercules uses Stratos to suck up Pyros and the other two Titans; Lythos & Hydros and then flings him and the other three towards outer space into constellations.
His name refers to the greek word "pyros", which means "fire".
Trivia[]
The four main titans in Hercules were not inspired by Greek mythology, but by the role-playing video game Ultima 8: Pagan (1994). In particular, Disney's Pyros is based on Ultima's Pyros, titan of Fire.
